We recently interviewed Sunita Martin, Managing Director of Findlay, where she explained that attending the upcoming study fair will narrow out the potential career paths for students, especially those who are interested in studying abroad.
The 9th Findlay International Study Fair is scheduled to be held on Monday, 28th January 2019 and the company is bringing 17 universities from United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia. The event will start at 2.00pm until 7.00pm and will be located at Songket Ballroom, Rizqun International Hotel.
“It is an opportunity for students to meet university representatives from different parts of the world and finding out the entry requirements, fees, as well as scholarships being offered before making the decision of where to go to further their studies,” she said.
The event is not only targeted for ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level students, but those who did not meet the entry requirement will also have the opportunity to meet with university pathway providers such as INTO and Navitas. These colleges provide Foundation and First Year Programmes with over 30 partnered universities.
“For this edition of the study fair, we will include short presentations made by representatives from different universities. These presentations will focus on various topics of interest that may be relevant for the students such as tips on writing personal statements,” said Sunita.
Findlay has also invited leading professionals from various private sectors for a chance to meet and interact with the students about careers in their field. This way, they will have an insight and deeper understanding of what the industry entails or the favourable requirements after graduating from university.
“We would just like to help students make better and informed decisions before they decide what their further studies are going to be. The entrance will be free so parents can tag along to meet the representatives and look at all the available options for their children. Other than that, they can book an appointment with the representatives, or our Education Consultant to advise them,” concluded Sunita.
Findlay (B) Sdn Bhd was established in June 2014 as an education agency that assists students in seeking higher education opportunities. They will identify the background of the student and match them with one of their partnered universities. Other than that, they also provide after education services to help the students find employment after university.
The fair is always seen as a way for potential students to connect with universities overseas, so Findlay hopes that they can help more people to further their studies at their dream universities and gain employment in their respective fields.
