One of the biggest trade fairs in Brunei – Consumer Fair is back for the 22nd time. The expo is divided into five zones, which are the purple, orange, red, green and blue. The zones represent designated areas that offer different types of items ranging from home appliances to food products. There are about 400 booths in total, comprising of local companies such as BIBD and international companies like Cuckoo International.
Consumer Fair this year introduces rush hour activities where within an hour, vendors give out an promotions on their items that you could not resist. The activity will take place at different times for each zone. The purple zone is from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, yellow zone from 4.00pm to 5.00pm, lastly blue and green zone is from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
The trade fair is always a good opportunity for existing companies to build relationships with potential consumers, and with the provided magazines and brochures they can grab attention and provide a more detailed information on where to get the items.
We interviewed Zul Abdul Rahman, Marketing Executive of Concept Computers, who have joined the Consumer Fair from its first iteration. “It is the marketing opportunity, you join this event and there will surely be more than 30,000 people coming to the event. This is one of the better times to actually get to know the companies and gain potential sales,” said Zul Abdul Rahman.
For those who may miss the rush hour activities, there will be ‘Everything must go’ clearance sale on the final day of the expo that will start at 7.00 pm.
The 22nd Consumer Fair will go on until 27th January 2019 at the International Convention Centre. The expo will open its doors from 10.00am to 10.00pm, so visit the expo and save on a few items while you are there.
