If you are looking for a place to dine in with an extensive menu and refreshing desserts, look no further than D’FusioN Café, located on the first floor of Higher Hotel in Kiulap.
D’FusioN Café was established in February 2018 and was initially located in Gadong. According to Dyce Lau Jun Yin, Founder and Supervisor of D’FusioN Café, the name D’FusioN is a play on words that meant the one and only fusion café. The letter ‘D’ is the initials of her name and her mother’s name, Doris.
“With over 30 items on our menu, most of the dishes are comfort food, such as the popular Kuching Laksa and Buttermilk Chicken. We also provide food on-the-go, like sandwiches for those who want a quick bite,” said Dyce.
The café is known for its colourful variety of Bingsu desserts, which is different from the traditional Korean shaved ice dessert – Patbingsu.
“What makes our bingsu different is that instead of regular ice or milk-based, we used flavours such as blueberry, matcha, and coffee to give the dessert a different yet refreshing taste. We also incorporate fresh fruits, cereal, and marshmallows to give the dessert a fine and unique texture,” she added.
Other than the Bingsu, the café is also known for their Belgian Waffles, which are more buttery and fluffy than normal waffles. Recently, patrons have been frequenting the café for their Kuching Laksa – the family had to dig out some of the old recipes and showcase the meals in the café, thus giving the food a homey feel to the patrons.
With the upcoming Ramadhan month, D’Fusion café will be doing Ramadhan promotion with prices ranging from BND14 to BND48. There will be six sets of combo meals from A to F, for 2 to 4 people with a D’FusioN mini bingsu for dessert.
Besides the Ramadhan promotions, customers are entitled to join a lucky draw when they send BND50 at the café. The prizes include a BND50 voucher at D’Fusion Café, a two-night stay at Higher Hotel and the grand prize, a trip to Bali. To check out more on what the café has to offer, follow them on Instagram.
