The Brunei e-Sports Tournament (BeS+) is back again this year, following the success of last year’s tournament. Organised by Game On Business Management and Services, the event will be held at the Indah Hall of Royal Brunei Recreational Club from 8th to 9th December 2018.
However, unlike last year, this year’s tournament will be focusing on console gaming such as PlayStation and Nintendo. The games featured in the tournament are PS4 Fifa 19, PS4 Tekken 7, PS4 GT Sports, PS4 Fortnite, and Mobile Legends Bang Bang.
BeS+ is a platform e-Sports, game culture and game exhibition with the aim to put the country on the map within the South East Asian region. The first e-Sports tournament last year saw over 500 participants and 2,000 visitors in attendance.
There is no age limit for participants – last year the youngest player was 7 years old. BeS+ is open to all ages and nationalities, with no admission fee for the event. However, players who wish to participate in the tournament would need to pay for a registration fee.
The early bird registration will be open until Sunday, 2nd December 2018. Students are also able to get 50% off the registration fee when they present their student card. Slots are limited, so it is advisable to register early to avoid disappointment.
The public are invited to spend time at their free-to-play booths and casual gaming corner, where you can bring your own consoles or handheld devices and indulge in play without any charges. The free-to-play booths will include popular PS4 games such as Overcooked 2, Call of Duty Black Ops 4, Overwatch and Soul Calibur, as well as a Nintendo corner.
“The gaming and e-Sports community is growing in Brunei, and BeS+ is the perfect e-Sports platform for our gamers to grow and share knowledge with each other,” said Amar Agus Din, the Founder of Game On Business Management and Services. By providing these platforms, it encourages the public to network and meet like-minded people.
This year will also feature YingTze, a Malaysian cosplayer who was invited by Game On and also a local cosplayer, Dirah Wong.
